Draped Elegance for a Soft, Stylish Look
Scarf swags are large, flowing pieces of fabric that drape beautifully over the top of your windows. This style adds a soft, decorative touch that makes the room look more elegant and relaxed.
Ideal for living rooms, dining rooms, or bedrooms, scarf swags work well alone or layered with other treatments like shades, blinds, or sheers. They help frame your windows and bring a dramatic visual appeal to the room.

How to Measure for Scarf Swags
Measure the Window Width
Measure the width of your window at the top, middle, and bottom of the window frame. Use the widest measurement in inches for the swag width.
Measure the Swag Height
Measure from the top of the rod (or the desired mounting location) to where you want the swag to end. Typically, the swag hangs about 12–18 inches from the rod, but you can adjust based on your preferred look.
Additional Length for Side Panels (Optional)
If you're adding side panels with your swag, measure how far you'd like the fabric to extend on each side of the window. Typically, you'll want to add 2–6 inches on each side to ensure the fabric fully covers the window and stacks neatly when open.
Determine the Rod Placement
If the rod isn't installed yet, decide how high above the window frame you want the rod to sit. Generally, placing the rod about 4–6 inches above the window frame works well, but you can go higher for a more dramatic effect.
Tip: Double-check that your measurements are in the width by height format (W x H).
