A Full, Tailored Look for Your Windows
Cartridge pleat drapes feature large, smooth pleats that are evenly spaced, giving your windows a full and elegant appearance. This style adds a neat, structured look to any room, perfect for both formal and casual settings. The pleats allow the fabric to drape gracefully, creating soft folds that add sophistication to your space.
These drapes are great for controlling light and providing privacy. They can also be paired with sheers, blinds, or shades to enhance the overall look of your windows.

How to Measure for Cartridge Pleat Drapes
Step 1: Measure the Length - Drop
If using rings, measure from the bottom of the ring.
If using a track, measure from the bottom of the glider.
If hanging directly from a rod, measure from the top of the rod.
Then measure down to where you want your drapes to end:
- For window sill length: Measure down to the windowsill and subtract 0.4 inches for clearance.
- For apron length: Measure about 6-8 inches below the sill.
- For floor-length: Measure down to the floor and subtract 0.4 inches to prevent dragging.
- For full wall coverage: Measure from just below the ceiling down to the floor. Subtract 0.4 inches for a clean finish.
If the rod or track isn’t installed yet, estimate about 6 inches above the window frame, or higher if you want full wall coverage.
Step 2: Measure the Width of Your Window
Measure the width of your window recess and add 6-8 inches on each side. This gives the drapes space to stack neatly without blocking the light.
Step 3: Measure Your Curtain Pole or Track
- For a track: Measure the full length from one end to the other.
- For a pole: Measure between the two finials.
Cartridge pleats require added fullness. Multiply your track or pole width by 2 to 2.5 to achieve the best structured look.
Step 4: Double-Check Your Measurements
Review your measurements before placing your order. Correct sizing ensures your cartridge pleat drapes hang neatly and create a polished, refined finish.
